1998 Isuzu Amigo Review
The Isuzu Amigo is a compact sport utility offering two styling variations, the
soft top and the hard top. By this, Isuzu aims to target two different markets
as the look leans towards different lifestyles and consequently different social
groups. The fold-away soft-top is geared toward the younger, activity oriented
group. It's definitely a ride you can picture on the beach, outside a party house
or cruising with blasting sounds. The hard top on the other hand is aimed at a
toned down market though it still sports the same stylish flavor.

The 1998 Isuzu Amigo comes in two different engine configurations. A 2.2-liter,
16-DOHC, in-line engine and a 3.2-liter, 24-DOHC V6 engine is available. Two transmission
options is available, a five-speed manual overdrive and a four-speed automatic
overdrive transmission is ready to be matched with the engines. This convertible
sport utility comes in the four-wheel and rear wheel drive. All in all the Isuzu
Amigo can be mixed up in eight different combinations.
Its interior is straightforward and simple, only carrying necessary instruments
and gauges. Even the interior design is basic though this is by no means a detriment
because there is a whole collection of interior accessories available for the
Isuzu Amigo in the aftermarket stores.
Driving the 1998 Isuzu Amigo is quite an experience. The engine is smooth and
stable, the 16-inch tires provide passable grip and road handling and the transmission
transfers powers flawlessly.
