1994 Isuzu Amigo Review
The 1994 Isuzu Amigo is available in two trims, the S and the XS. This compact
sport ute rides on a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine and the more powerful 2.6-liter
4-cylinder which delivers a respectable 120 horsepower. Both engines are coupled
to a 5-speed manual transmission. New for this year is the standard power steering
which was made available to all trims. A choice between an uncovered cargo area
and a soft top cover is also being offered.
The Amigo's platform is the same kind used on pick-up trucks giving it a firmer
feel especially when driving down rough roads and it suspension supplies further
support which enables the Amigo to provide a satisfying driving feel. Because
of the kind of looks it sports, the Isuzu Amigo is bound to attract a mobile,
adventurous bunch that'll be sure to take this baby on a frequent ride outdoors.
Its mechanical features will undoubtedly make each trip a pleasure.
The Isuzu Amigo's interior is down to the bare essentials with only the most
practical and functional instruments on the dash. This is not a disappointment
because it still delivers the same functionality with the cluttered look a profusion
of gadgets and gizmos could bring. Because most people do not consider soft tops
as a safe ride, Isuzu solves this problem by providing side-impact beams.
