1992 Isuzu Amigo Review

The 1992 Isuzu Amigo is available with the two-wheel or four-wheel drive. The
two-wheel drive S trim came with the 96 horsepower 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine
while all other trims got the more powerful 120 horsepower, 2.6-liter 4-cylinder
engine and runs on unleaded gas. Both engines are coupled with the standard 5-speed
manual transmission with overdrive. This mini sport ute is fitted with front disc
and rear drum brakes and front anti-roll bar.
The compact Amigo is a two-seater unlike its mid-size counterpart, the Isuzu
Rodeo, which seats four people. The interior reveals cloth covered bucket front
seats with manual reclining and 40/60 folding rear seats. The interior is spartan
and devoid of the fancy frills of other SUVs, but this is only because Isuzu concentrated
in giving the Amigo the most useful and practical instruments. A choice between
an open or enclosed cargo area is available. All trim levels have two side doors
and a side-opening tailgate, which carried a full-size spare tire.
