1990 Isuzu Amigo
Though the Isuzu Amigo remained essentially unchanged in the 1990?s, it still
maintained the superb road handling and excellent driving feel that is the mark
of Isuzu vehicles. Riding on two excellent engines, the 96 horsepower, 2.3 liter
4-cylinder engine which was fitted into the 2-wheel drive S model and the 120
horsepower, 2.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, the mini sport utility Isuzu is out to
make a name for itself.
Both engines were initially matched the only transmission available, the 5-speed
manual; but 1992 brought a welcome addition to the Isuzu's line-up of mechanical
features with the arrival of the 4-speed automatic transmission. The Isuzu Amigo
still displayed the same stylish, playful look, with vehicle options allowing
for a covered or uncovered rear area.
Interior area is basic, and even sparse but that's only because Isuzu equipped
the Amigo's interior with only the most needed instruments and gauges. The Isuzu
Amigo normally seats 2 people but can easily accommodate 2, even 3, more passengers
in the rear area. Goods and other such loads will fit into the cargo area, even
large sized stuff like surfboards. The front area has bucket seats while bench
seats are provided for the rear room.
