1989 Isuzu Amigo
1989 was the year of the Isuzu Amigo's birth. This funky compact sport utility
was geared towards attracting the younger generation, that's why Isuzu gave it
a sporty design. The top off look is perfect for summer beach parties or spring
picnics, whereas the covered Isuzu Amigo is ideal when transporting sensitive
cargo on rainy days.
The pioneer Isuzu Amigo is fitted with a 96 horsepower, 2.3 liter 4-cylinder
engine which was fitted into the 2-wheel drive S model and the 120 horsepower,
2.6-liter 4-cylinder engine. Both are matched to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The 1989 Isuzu Amigo is available with or without the vinyl soft top giving the
owner the flexibility to choose which look he prefers. Inside the Isuzu Amigo's
cabin are comfortable bucket front seats and rear bench seats upholstered in cloth
seat covers. Though the exterior designing and style did not translate into the
interior look, the Isuzu Amigo still performs excellently nonetheless. Complete
with the most practical instruments and gauges, the 1989 Isuzu Amigo is utilitarian
in every sense.
